Indian science congress in Hyderabad postponed fearing protests Newburgh Gazette
Protests were held on the campus after the incident. The Indian Science Congress is an annual event that provides a common platform for Nobel laureates, eminent personalities, faculty, researchers, scholars, and students from varied backgrounds, both from India and overseas, to interact and present their research. This was to be the 105th edition of the congress and it is the first time something of this sort has happened. Perhaps for the first time, the Indian Science Congress has been deferred, owing to the “unpleasant” environment prevailing on the Osmania University campus, where the prestigious event will take place.
